Traditional Progressive

Traditional Progressive lenses refers to the method used in the production of the lenses. For many years lenses were produced by a combination of grinding and polishing very specific curves into the back of a semi finished lens blank with the use of very fine emery pads and specially designed machinery.  This method was the only method available in the production of prescription lenses. Traditional progressives have worked well for years and is a great option for cost conscious patient over 40 who need a correction for all distances.

With the introduction of lasers, lens manufacturers have introduce HD, or high definition digital lenses.

This type of method used in production of  lenses is more precise and offers sharper vision than traditional progressive lenses.
